Michael Elliott, 32 years old, is married with one son and lives in the west end of Davenport, IA. Elliott owns his own computer repair company, Techies, and provides on site service to clients Quad Cities wide. Elliott was an Army brat for 18 years living in six states before settling in Iowa. He is a Life Scout with Boy Scouts of America and served in the Army's Infantry division. Prior to starting his own business, Elliott worked as a Geek Squad member and supervisor at Best Buy and was an assistant manager at Walmart.
Elliott is a passionate student of the Constitution and is a great inspiration to those who get to know him. It is not uncommon to find Elliott discussing the Magna Carta, world history and the rule of law with new found friends or customers.
Elliott is the only non-partisan candidate for the Auditor's office and the only candidate who, to date, has been willing to take a stand for paper ballots in order to maintain the office's integrity and transparency. The result of this non-partisan candidacy is an environment where Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians and Independents alike have shown support for Elliott's campaign. In late August, Michael D. Elliott successfully exceeded the requirement to be placed on the ballot by petition for the office of Scott County Auditor. This is Elliott's first effort to run for public office and serve.
